My detailed home inspection system has been designed to assure you a thorough, easy to understand overview of the conditions of the home you are about to purchase. Buying a home is not something you do every day and I provide the information you need for peace of mind.

What Does a Typical Home Inspection Cover?

My Inspection Provides a Top to Bottom Analysis of Your Home

1.  Site: walks, steps and landings, decks, balconies and patios, fences, driveways, retaining walls

2.  Exterior: siding, all trim, chimneys, exterior doors/garage doors

3.  Structure: foundation, crawl space, exterior and interior wall system, roof structure, beams and posts, floor system, other structures including carports and sheds

4.  Insulation and Ventilation: attic, venting systems in kitchens, baths and laundry, crawl space

5.  Roof: rings, flashing, skylights, chimneys and roof penetrations

6.  Interior: floors, stairs, ceilings, walls, windows, doors

7. Electrical: service entrance conductors, ground service panel, sub panel, branch circuit wiring, interior outlets, switches and fixtures, exterior outlets and fixtures, ground fault circuit interrupters, smoke detectors

8.  Plumbing: supply and waste lines, fixtures, water heaters, flues and vents, sump pumps

9. Heating: furnaces, heat pumps, fireplaces and inserts, gas logs, wood burning stoves, pellet stoves, chimney flues and vents, ductwork, humidifiers

10. Cooling: air conditioners and heat pumps

11. Kitchen and appliances: all appliances, cabinets, counter tops

12. Surface water control systems: gutters and downspouts, grading, swales, walks, stairwell drains, driveways, patios
